Club Welcomes New Board at Changeover Night
Retiring president Robert Winspear thanked the outgoing board and awarded four Paul Harris Fellow recognitions at the Club Changeover Night at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday July 19th.
Although not a member, Councillor Coral Ross of the City of Boroondara received an award for her outstanding contribution to the community and her strong support for Rotary fundraising activities over many years. Rotarians Helena Wimpole, John Hudson and Michael Bery were recognised for their selfless contributions to service and fundraising over the year. Adding to the celebratory tone, long serving member Terry Rolleston was awarded honorary membership at the event, in recognition of a lifetime of service to the community and to Rotary.
President for 2016-2017 Carol Benson was inducted with appropriate pomp and ceremony. Carol then introduced the club board for 2016-2017, which featured a number of new faces to club leadership.
MC for the evening Jeremy Romanes gave a highly entertaining and thoroughly professional performance as the masterful MC. A wonderful night of fellowship and good cheer with an exciting year ahead.
